Light Box in Between, South Jakarta

The lighting design for the Light in the Box project in South Jakarta highlights the building's unique cantilevered volume, which floats above the 1st-floor roof and 3rd-floor terrace. A double skin system of polycarbonate cladding is integrated with an illuminating strip of light between the layers. This combination, along with the frosted texture of the polycarbonate, creates dynamic shadows and silhouettes of people or objects moving inside. At night, this effect transforms the building’s exterior into a captivating, "wayang"-like performance, visible from the bustling street below.
